Ben’s Bio
Ben Ortiz is currently serving as Videographer/Video Editor at ActionCOACH USA. His journey began as an artist and documentary filmmaker, but took a significant turn when his short film 'Revancha' was accepted into the Official Latino Short Film Festival in New York City.
Beyond the edit suite, Ben is a multidisciplinary creative who infuses every project with his signature style. At ActionCOACH, Ben’s creative vision and technical expertise enhance the brand’s storytelling and elevate its visual content, driving engagement and impact.
Fun facts about Ben
- Ben was the first annual "Creature Feature Design" Winner for Robert Rodriguez's El Rey Network.
- He created concept art sketches based on the first draft scripts for "Thor" and "Captain America: The First Avenger," which set the design language for those films. As part of the "Marvel Legends" crew, he contributed significantly to the Marvel universe.
- His first and only short film, "Revancha," was an official selection at the "Official Latino Short Film Festival" in NYC.
- Ben directed, shot, and coded the "Use of Force" exhibit for the Mob Museum in Las Vegas, which is used as a training tool by law enforcement agencies globally.
- Currently, he is working on his second comic book and creates watercolors and mixed media art of classic cars, motorcycles, and rat rods.
- In his spare time, Ben writes, creates fine art, interviews people for mini-documentaries, and studies filmmaking.
