Karen’s Bio

Karen Callahan brings over two decades of experience in sales, marketing, and events with an international trade association for retail environment professionals. Before her role as Director of Membership, Marketing, and Programs & Events at Shop!, she produced numerous national events, including the Fort Lauderdale Boat Show and the Southeastern U.S. Foodservice Expo. From 2014 until this year, Karen also ran an Ayurvedic medicine business part-time, offering counseling, body treatments, and herbal remedies.

Combining her extensive non-profit and small business expertise, she now leverages her skills to shape and grow the ActionCOACH Foundation as its first paid employee. Karen holds a double major in Communications and Theatre Arts from the University of California, Santa Barbara, and is a Clinical Ayurvedic Specialist from the California College of Ayurveda.
